About our Client:
Our facility is a Joint Commission (JCAHO) accredited hospital that serves as a regional referral center for southwest Kansas. Which provides health services that include Diagnostic and Interventional Cardiology, a Cardiac Cath Lab and Cardiac Rehabilitation.
POSITION SUMMARY:
The PT Physical Therapist provides evaluation and sets up treatment programs for all patients referred to physical therapy; provides physical therapy treatment to referred patients; writes and reviews patients progress reports, including charting, and reports to referring physicians; consults with prosthetists/orthotists and suppliers of patient care products; provides correct information on Medicare and AHCCS and all other forms; provides correct statistics and billing information for Physical Therapy patients; educates staff in departmental/hospital concerns and instructs new staff in safe body mechanics; attends department and hospital meetings as appropriate and serves on various committees; orients and trains new and continuing staff regarding scope and needs of the Therapies Department; and, performs other duties as assigned.
ACCOUNTABILITY:
The PT Physical Therapist is accountable to the Director of Therapies Service and ultimately is accountable to the Chief Operations Officer.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY:
The PT Physical Therapist has the authority and the responsibility of supervising the Physical Therapy Assistants, Rehab Techs, students, new graduates and other members of the Physical Therapy Department. The PT Physical Therapist has the responsibility of reporting incidents, patient and/or employee issues, work related accidents, and any other unusual events to the appropriate therapy supervisor and/or Director of Therapies Services or Sr. Leader .

outpatient setting, treating mostly orthopedics.  Current services that the Therapy team provide are: post-surgical care, sports medicine, work comp, wound care, aquatic therapy as well as having ASTYM certified therapists. They would be joining a large interdisciplinary team and focuses on quality, individualized patient care. New grads welcome to apply. Work schedule to be Mon-Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Experience Required: PT, Physical Therapist
Must have graduated from an accredited Physical Therapy curriculum and have current certification with the American Physical Therapy Association. Must also be currently licensed to practice PT Physical Therapy in the State of Kansas and capable of performing all Physical therapy procedures.
