Requirements:
NYS permanent OT license
SNF experience preferred
1+ years of experience working with geriatrics
SNF experience preferred but not required
Ability to work independently and in a fast paced environment

About the Opportunity:
A Skilled Nursing Facility in Brooklyn that specializes in short term, post-acute rehab is looking for a full time Occupational Therapist to join their facility! The OT will have the opportunity to work alongside PTs, SLPs and other OTs and will have the opportunity to work to learn and grow in this full time, long term position. This SNF is looking for someone who can work independently and confidently and is a great team player. Must be able to supervise COTAs and work Monday through Friday.

Job Responsibilities:
As an Occupational Therapist, he or she is responsible for:
Meeting the patient's goals and needs by providing quality care through assessing and interpreting evaluations
Determining occupational therapy treatment plans in consultations with physicians or by prescription
Helping patient develop or regain physical or mental functioning
Promoting maximum independence by selecting and constructing therapies according to individual's capacity
Evaluating results of occupational therapy by observing, noting and evaluating patient's progress and recommending and implementing adjustments and modifications
Completing discharge planning by consulting with other healthcare workers
Maintaining a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules and regulations
Contributing to a team effort by accomplishing related results as needed
