Adelphi is seeking an experienced Assistant Speech-Language Pathologist to provide specialized speech language pathology services to assist in the assessment and treatment of individuals with speech, language, voice, and fluency disorders for a school district located in Tampa, Florida. The Assistant Speech-Language Pathologist will perform speech pathology services, including screenings and direct therapy, under the direct on-site supervision of a certified or licensed Speech Language Pathologist (SLP).

Requirements:
• Bachelor's degree in Communication Sciences & Disorders or Speech-Language Pathology or in a related field and completion of pre-requisite coursework required for state licensure.
• Experience in education, childcare, or related field preferred.
• Florida Department of Health license for Speech-Language Pathology
• Knowledge of relevant and current computer software programs

Responsibilities:
• Screen students for speech language or hearing disorders.
• Implement remedial programs or procedures planned by the supervising speech-language pathologist.
• Record charts or graphs data relative to student performance.
• Complete documentation as required for Medicaid billing.
• Maintain student records, including Individual Education Plans(IEPs), work folders, cumulative folders, health records and parent correspondence.
• Prepare therapy materials.
• Manage student behavior during therapy.
• Adhere to a daily schedule developed with the supervising speech-language pathologist.
• Participate in the IEP process.
• Attend staff meetings as required.
• Perform other educationally related duties as assigned by the program supervisor.
• Engage only in those remedial duties that are planned, designed, and directed by the supervising speech language pathologist.
• Perform any other duties as assigned
