Description
The Execu|Search Group is hiring full time Occupational Therapists to work in various different settings: Schools, Skilled Nursing Facilities, Hospitals, Adult Dayhabs, and Homecare. Therapists that are employed through our agency are eligible to receive medical benefits, paid time off and many other exclusive employment benefits. Travel and relocation expenses may also be provided for non-local candidates. Employment sponsorship is also available.
The therapist working in any of these positions will treat children between the ages of 3 - 21 in a school setting. We work with public, private, charter, District 75 and non-profit schools throughout all of New York City. There is the option of specializing within certain age groups and working with certain diagnoses such as autism or visual impairment or general education. The therapist will be helping children access the academic environment and participate to the maximum extent possible in educationally related activities. Therapists are responsible for evaluating and treating children with disabilities, maintaining daily progress and attendance records, writing progress reports, attending IEP meetings, and recommending adaptive equipment, environmental accommodations, or assistive technology. Within the nursing home positions, you will work alongside other therapists in a fast paced environment treating both sub-acute and long term care patients. You must be comfortable working with geriatric patients and have the ability to learn the EMR system quickly and efficiently. Working within both settings gives you the chance to enhance your resume to have two different sets of skills working with multiple populations.
We offer clinical mentorship from our Senior Director of Clinical Services who has 20 years of experience throughout various settings. We also offer continuing education through AOTA and host bi-monthly in-services at our office in NYC to make sure you are fully supported in your position. In addition to schools and skilled nursing facilities, we have multiple openings within non-profit organizations, hospitals, home care and outpatient clinics.
