A well known Pediatric Clinic/Home Care network is expanding and seeking a part time Speech Language Pathologists to join their team. This opportunity is located in Deerfield, IL just north of Chicago. Long term travel candidates encouraged to apply.

Pediatric Outpatient Clinic

Job Description:
The SLP will provide speech services to intellectually and developmentally delayed clients ages 2 to 21 in a beautiful outpatient clinic.

The SLP will follow the physician's plan of care to improve or restore the patient's communication skills and/or oral motor function.

Responsibilities included but not limited to are:
-  Treatment of disorders related to speech, language, cognition, communication, voice, swallowing and fluency
-  Obtains physician verbal orders for services and prepares interim order forms accordingly for MD signature as needed
-  Submits reports of patient status for insurance authorization in a timely manner
-  Treats patients through the use of therapeutic activities, under the direction of the physician and the physician order and within the Speech Language Pathology Scope of Practice, to develop and restore speech function and oral motor function and attain and maintain maximum performance, within the functional limitations of the patient and in accordance with the plan of care
-  Observes, documents and reports the patient's responses to treatment and any change in the patient's condition to the physician, and/or the coordinator of care, as appropriate

Required skills:
-  Illinois Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) license
-  One year of experience

Desired skills:
-  Previous experience as a Speech Language Pathologist in a homecare setting is preferred
