Galea is the only platform dedicated to connecting athletes with tailored mental health care.We are a group of former athletes (recently retired) who are on a mission to change the mental game for our former selves. As an athlete, finding a therapist who understands the nuances of the athlete experience is tough. We’re here to make sure the counselor search process is seamless, so athletes can focus on coping with challenges, calming their mind, and achieving their goals. We’re creating a network of therapists who are passionate about helping athletes and a community of athlete advocates who are eager to support the success of athletes everywhere. Athletes will email you directly and you will be process them through your current practice.

Skills
License by a state board to provide mental health counseling (e.g., LCSW, LMFT, LPC, PsyD, or similar credentials)
Experience in individual counseling with teens or adults
Athletic background, training in sports psychology, or extensive experience working with athletes
Reliable internet connection
