Temp - Occupational Therapist (OT) - Long Term Care (LTC) (Days) Moore, OK

Join our dedicated team as a Temp Occupational Therapist, making a meaningful impact in long-term care settings. This vital role offers an excellent opportunity to utilize your clinical expertise to improve patients' quality of life through skilled rehabilitation services. In this role, you will evaluate patients with cognitive and ADL physical functioning disorders, develop individualized care plans, and execute evidence-based interventions. Your responsibilities include administering treatments such as ADL retraining, therapeutic exercises, modalities, and supportive device use. You will monitor patient progress, adjust treatments as needed, and document all clinical activities in compliance with regulatory standards. Additionally, providing consultation to patients, families, and team members, supervising therapy assistants, and participating in interdisciplinary meetings are integral parts of your role. Your efforts will contribute directly to improved patient outcomes within a collaborative healthcare environment.

Required Skills:
  • Valid Occupational Therapist (OT) license and NBCOT certification
  • Strong evaluative skills with experience in cognitive and ADL physical functioning assessments
  • Knowledge of evidence-based practice and standardized assessment tools
  • Ability to develop and modify individualized treatment plans
  • Excellent communication and documentation skills
  • Ability to supervise OT assistants and support staff
  • Familiarity with electronic health records and regulatory compliance

Nice to Have Skills:
  • Experience in long-term care or skilled nursing facilities
  • Knowledge of DME procurement and supply management
  • Multidisciplinary team collaboration experience
  • Bilingual abilities to enhance patient interactions

Preferred Education and Experience:
  • Master’s Degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program
  • At least one year of clinical experience in similar settings
  • Active state licensure in Oklahoma or eligibility for licensure transfer

Other Requirements:
  • Ability to work daytime hours in a long-term care environment
  • Willingness to adhere to all regulatory, ethical, and professional standards
  • Travel or supply reimbursements applicable where relevant
